Crack Filling And Asphalt Repair Services in Austin, TX & Beyond
Asphalt surfaces inevitably succumb to wear and tear due to shifting soil, inclement weather, and invasive tree roots. Ignoring cracks that arise only makes the problem worse, leading to costly repairs and a shorter pavement lifespan. Incorporating crack filling into your maintenance routine helps repair existing cracks and prevent new ones from forming.
Our Asphalt Crack Filling Process
Prepare the Surface
We use a wire brush, a broom, or compressed air to remove debris from the surface.
Apply the Material
Hot pour crack filler is applied to the cracks. This material is heated to a high temperature to ensure proper flow and adhesion to the crack walls.
Finish & Cure
We smooth the crack filler with a squeegee to ensure it’s even with the surrounding pavement. The crack filler is then left to cure to ensure it has hardened properly and will provide a long-lasting seal.

Crack Filling FAQs
Professionally installed asphalt paving lasts 15–20 years with proper maintenance. Factors like climate, traffic volume, and routine care can extend or reduce its lifespan.
Crack filling involves cleaning and sealing individual linear cracks—typically using hot-poured rubberized or polymer-filled material—to prevent moisture intrusion and extend pavement life. Unlike sealcoating, which covers the entire surface with a protective layer, crack filling is targeted and flexible and must be completed before sealcoating for best results
Most effective between April and November, when conditions are dry and temperatures generally range above ~50 °F. It’s ideal to fill cracks before winter, when they are the widest and most vulnerable to freeze–thaw damage .
Crack filling can be done in drier winter days, but spring/fall is usually preferred for long-lasting results.
